Terms of Use
In plain English
This site is a pre-launch waiting list. By signing up, you give us your email so we can tell you when the product is ready. You can leave any time. We have not built the product yet, so nothing else is on offer.
1. What this is
Sigil is a product in development. This website (joinsigil.com) exists to describe what we are building and to let interested people request beta access. No service is available yet. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer to sell or supply Sigil, a contract for service, or a binding commitment of feature or launch date.
2. Accepting these terms
By using this site or submitting your email to the beta request form, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or submit your email.
3. What you can do here
- Read about Sigil.
- Submit your email to request beta access.
- Contact us at [email protected].
That is the entire surface area of the site at this stage.
4. What you cannot do
- Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content without permission.
- Submit other people's email addresses without their consent.
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to circumvent any security or rate-limiting we may apply.
5. Beta access is not guaranteed
Submitting the beta access form puts you on a list. It does not guarantee that you will receive access to the product when private beta opens, nor that the product will launch on any particular date. We will do our best to invite everyone who signs up; we may not be able to.
6. Intellectual property
The Sigil name, logo, brand, copy, designs, and code on this site are owned by us. You may not use them for your own purposes without written permission. References to other companies, products, and services on this site (OpenClaw, Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Snyk, Cisco, etc.) are property of their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only.
7. No warranty
This site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be available, error-free, or up to date. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site.
8. Privacy
Our handling of your email address is described in our Privacy Policy. The short version: we use it to send you progress updates and let you know when beta opens. We do not sell, share, or trade it.
9. Changes
These are pre-launch terms (version 0.1). Before we open private beta, we will publish full v1.0 terms covering the actual product, with proper legal review. We will email everyone on the beta list before any change that materially affects you.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless local law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
11. Contact
If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and we will explain.
Pre-launch caveat: these are simple terms for a pre-launch website. Once private beta opens, we will replace them with proper, lawyer-reviewed terms covering the live product. Nothing here should be relied on as a contract for service — there is no service yet.
